SafeLock Self Storage - Truck Rental Rules

With each new Ann Arbor storage rental, SafeLock offers you up to 6 hours of local use of our rental truck for free, with mileage fees waived up to 25 miles. You'll have up to 14 days after renting your Ann Arbor storage unit to redeem the free rental. Please note, if you are making a reservation for a Michigan storage unit online, you will not be able to reserve the truck at the same time. Please call the store to reserve your truck*.

1. The driver of the truck must be at least 21 years old and needs to have a valid driver’s license.

2. The non-refundable Collision Damage Waiver is only $20, or you can just present valid proof of car insurance.

3. The truck is for local moves only. You may not take the truck outside of the state of Michigan for any reason.

4. The truck must be returned to the same SafeLock Self Storage location that you picked it up from, by the close of business, the same day the truck was rented.

5. There is a $100 Security Deposit. You will receive the entire security deposit back once you have returned the truck to the Ann Arbor storage facility from which it was rented in compliance with the terms of your rental.

6. The daily rental rate for the truck is $20 per day. Mileage is billed at the rate of $0.79 per mile.

7. The truck must be returned with the same amount of unleaded fuel that it was dispatched with. In most cases, the truck will be dispatched with a full tank of unleaded gas from our Ann Arbor self storage locations. If the truck is returned and it is not at the same level as it had at the time it was picked up, you will be charged a $25 fee plus the actual cost of the fuel.
