Do I have to sign a 1 year lease for my storage unit?
No! At SafeLock, you rent storage by the month and pay only for the number of months you need.
Do you offer any long-term discounts?
Yes! You may pay for your rent 3 months in advance to receive 5% off, 6 months 7% off, or pay 12 months to get 10% off!
Do I need insurance?
You are solely responsible for items that you place in your storage unit. SafeLock in Ann Arbor has an optional insurance plan available for our tenants to purchase, however, many homeowners and renters policies will cover self storage units; usually up to a certain limit (you should check with your provider to be certain).
Do I need a padlock?
SafeLock Self Storage in Ann Arbor has many styles of high quality padlocks available for purchase in our rental office. You may also bring your own lock if you choose. Either way, only you will have the keys to your unit!
What does on-site manager mean?
Our facilities have a manager that lives in an apartment that is attached to the rental office. This offers added security for the protection of your belongings.
What is a drive-up unit?
A unit that is accessible directly from the driveway is called a drive-up unit. This is a great convenience for tenants since the spaces are closer to their vehicles.
What is a roll-up door?
Roll-up doors are similar to a garage door. These roll-up and down, which allows for more complete use of the entire storage space.
What type of security do you offer?
We have a manager that lives on-site. Our facilities are equipped with a video surveillance system that helps to protect your items 24/7. Every renter is provided with their own unique gate access code in order to enter the facility. Regular patrols of the grounds are made by our employees.
What type of vacate notice do you require?
Tenants are required to provide the facility with a written notice of intent to vacate, a minimum of 10 days prior to clearing out their unit.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash or checks at our rental office during business hours. We also accept all major credit cards at our rental office or online through our secure web site.
I'm ready to rent! What type of documentation will you require?
In order to rent a unit from us, you will need to provide a valid government-issued form of identification (e.g., driver’s license, state ID or passport). In addition, if you are placing a vehicle in storage you will be required to provide a copy of the vehicle registration as proof of ownership. |
